Individual, couple & family counselling

Explore what is troubling you right now with a caring professional — on your own, as a couple, or together as a family.

Explore the issues troubling you right now, supported with compassion by a professional dedicated to healing. Giving yourself permission to receive this kind of support can be the first step forward.

Your concerns are treated with respect, confidentiality, care and non-judgement. The goal of counselling is to help you make important decisions in your own way — clarifying the emotional concerns that may be tangled up with them, so the choices you make are truly yours.

Counselling often helps with

  • Clarifying a problem with a caring, non-judgemental professional
  • Coping with depression
  • Building confidence and self-esteem
  • Exploring opportunities for change
  • Improving personal skills and making better decisions
  • Managing stress, anxiety and anger
  • Coping with bereavement and loss
  • Substance use, sleep difficulties, fears and phobias
  • Relationship and “inner child” issues

Couples and families

Couple and family counselling strengthens communication within the family and helps clear misunderstandings. Through guided sessions, partners and family members learn to listen to one another, rebuild trust and resolve conflict — fostering a healthier, more supportive home.

The holistic difference

Holistic Living counsellors bring traditional counselling skills together with contemporary approaches such as meditation and Reiki. The work is experiential: a journey of self-discovery that helps you stay in your personal power rather than feeling a victim of life’s experiences.

Taanya combines established counselling techniques — CBT, REBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt therapy, assertiveness training and systematic desensitisation — with mind–body processes, mindfulness and creative visualisation. She is also a certified trauma-informed therapy practitioner.

This process is for everyone. You need not be in crisis to want change; you may simply wish to live a more authentic life.

Common questions

No. Many people come simply because they want to understand themselves better, make a decision with more clarity, or live a more authentic life.

Yes. Sessions are private and confidential. As with any counselling practice, the only exception is if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
