Why the Whole Country, Not Just Dubai
Provision in the UAE is heavily concentrated in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Someone living in Ajman, Fujairah or Ras Al Khaimah who wants an Indian-origin counsellor, or an evening appointment, or simply an option that does not involve an hour on the E11, has considerably less choice.
Online removes the geography from the problem entirely. It also removes the awkwardness for people in smaller emirates where the community is small enough that a clinic visit is not private.
Sharjah deserves specific mention: a very large Indian population, many commuting daily into Dubai, and a household budget that makes Dubai private-clinic fees genuinely prohibitive.

What Clients in the Emirates Bring

And the particular loneliness of a country where the majority of the population is temporary and friendships keep leaving.

Licensing and Insurance, Without the Fog
Therapy provided inside the UAE requires a licence from the relevant health authority: DHA in Dubai, DoH in Abu Dhabi, MOHAP for the northern emirates. Those practitioners can coordinate with local psychiatrists and hospitals, and may be claimable on your insurance.
This practice operates from India, online, and is none of those things. Sessions are paid privately and cannot be claimed on UAE insurance.
That is worth weighing honestly. Where you need a formal local care pathway — an assessment for school, coordination with a psychiatrist, anything that needs to be recognised by a UAE institution — you need a licensed practitioner in the Emirates. Where you want confidential, accessible, culturally fluent counselling, this works well.
Timing
India is one and a half hours ahead of the UAE across all emirates. Evening sessions after work are the norm; daytime and weekend slots are available, with the UAE weekend falling on Saturday and Sunday.
Sessions run an hour, in English or Hindi.

Do you cover emirates outside Dubai?+
Yes. Because sessions are online, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah are all equally straightforward.
Are you licensed in the UAE?+
No. Taanya practises from New Delhi. She is not licensed by the DHA, DoH or MOHAP, and this is not a UAE clinic.
Can I claim on insurance?+
No. UAE insurers reimburse licensed local providers only. These sessions are paid privately.
What if I move between emirates, or leave the UAE?+
Sessions continue unchanged. For a population that moves as much as this one, that continuity is one of the main practical arguments for an online arrangement.
Can couples sessions be done where one partner travels for work?+
Yes. Two devices in two locations works, though where you are in the same home a single shared screen is usually better.
What if I need urgent help?+
This is not a crisis service. Emergency services across the UAE are on 999, and the Ministry of Health and Prevention operates a mental health support line on 800 4673.
