What Spiritual Healing Involves
Energy healing works with the subtle energy of the body. Where that energy is depleted, blocked or disturbed, often following prolonged stress, grief or illness, the person tends to feel it as exhaustion, heaviness, restlessness or a sense of being stuck.
A session is non-intrusive. You remain fully clothed, and the work is done through gentle hand positions or at a small distance from the body. Most people describe warmth, deep relaxation and, frequently, the first proper rest they have had in some time.

The Modalities Used
Sessions draw on Reiki in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition, Advanced Pranic Healing, chakra balancing, magnified healing and meditation. Where appropriate, colour therapy and crystal work are included. The combination is chosen for the person rather than applied as a fixed protocol.
Reiki is the foundation of the practice. The practitioner's hands rest lightly on or just above the body in a sequence of positions, usually starting at the head and moving down. It is quiet, slow work. Nothing is manipulated and nothing is pressed. People tend to notice heat under the hands and a loosening of the breath, and the session usually ends with a few minutes of stillness before you sit up.
Pranic healing, as taught in the lineage of Master Choa Kok Sui, is done without touch. The practitioner works a hand's width from the body, first clearing and then energising the areas that feel congested or depleted. Chakra balancing follows the same logic, attending to the seven main energy centres in turn. Neither requires you to know anything about chakras; the practitioner's job is to work with them, yours is to rest.
Many sessions end with a short guided meditation, and some clients come mainly for that. Where the person wants to talk, time is made for it, either in the same appointment or in a separate counselling session. That is the advantage of a healer who is also a trained counsellor: you do not have to choose between being heard and being worked on.

Spiritual Counselling Alongside Healing
For many people the energy work opens questions rather than closing them: about meaning, purpose, faith or what comes next. Taanya has been a devotee of Sri Paramahansa Yogananda since childhood and draws on scriptural wisdom alongside psychology, without requiring any particular belief from you.
This work sits comfortably with any faith, or none. Nobody is asked to adopt a belief system in order to benefit.

Who Comes for Spiritual Healing in South Delhi
The practice at D-96 Anand Niketan draws people from across South Delhi, Vasant Vihar, Chanakyapuri, Defence Colony and Gurgaon, and a steady number of visitors from abroad who book while they are in Delhi seeing family. The reasons vary. A woman in her fifties caring for a parent with dementia who has not slept properly in a year. A young professional whose anxiety has been treated with medication and who wants something to do alongside it. A couple grieving a miscarriage. A man in his sixties who has retired and cannot say what the point of his days is now. Someone recovering from a long illness who is medically well but does not feel well.
What they have in common is a sense that something is out of balance which ordinary rest, and sometimes ordinary therapy, has not reached. Spiritual healing does not promise to fix that. It offers a way of attending to it that many people find steadying.

What Spiritual Healing Is Not
It is worth being direct here, because the phrase spiritual healer attracts a great deal of nonsense. This is not faith healing, not exorcism, not a promise to remove curses, and not a way to change another person or influence events. No claim is made that Reiki or pranic healing treats or cures any disease, physical or mental. If you have been told you have depression, an anxiety disorder, a thyroid problem or anything else, please stay with the doctor treating you. Energy work can sit beside that care and may help you feel more settled while you go through it, and that is the honest limit of what is claimed.
You will also not be sold a package, a course of ten sessions, or a set of crystals. If a single session is what you need, that is what you will have.

A Typical First Session
The first appointment starts with a conversation. Taanya asks what has brought you, what is going on in your life and body, and whether you are under medical care for anything. That is followed by the healing itself, lying on a treatment couch, fully clothed, with the lights lowered. Afterwards there are a few minutes to come round, drink some water and say what you noticed, and Taanya will tell you what she observed and whether a further session seems useful. Sessions at Anand Niketan run to roughly an hour. Distance sessions for clients outside Delhi follow the same shape over WhatsApp, with the conversation before and after by message or call.

Questions & Answers
Everything you need to know before booking your first session.
Do I need to believe in it for it to work?+
No. Scepticism is welcome and common. You are asked only to be willing to rest for the duration of the session and notice what you notice.
Is spiritual healing a substitute for medical treatment?+
No, and it should never be presented as one. Energy healing supports wellbeing alongside proper medical and psychological care. Please continue with your doctor's treatment and do not stop prescribed medication.
What will I feel during a session?+
Commonly warmth, tingling, deep relaxation, and sometimes emotional release. Some people fall asleep. Others feel little during the session and notice a shift over the following days. All of these are normal.
How many sessions do people usually have?+
Some come once, at a difficult moment. Others attend regularly as maintenance. Where the healing is supporting recovery from grief, burnout or illness, a short series is usually more helpful than a single session, but that is a judgement made with you, not a rule.
Can spiritual healing be done at a distance?+
Yes. Distance healing is a standard part of the Reiki system from Level 2 onward, and is offered for clients outside Delhi and overseas.
Is this connected to any religion?+
Reiki comes from Japan and pranic healing from the Philippines, and neither is tied to a religion. Taanya's own practice is shaped by the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, but nothing about a session requires you to share that or any other faith. Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims, Christians and people with no religious belief at all come to the centre.
