Insomnia Treatment in South Delhi

If you lie awake for hours, wake repeatedly through the night, or fall asleep only to feel exhausted the next morning, you are not simply a bad sleeper. Persistent insomnia is almost always a symptom of something else — an overactive mind, unresolved stress, anxiety, grief, or a nervous system that has forgotten how to switch off.

Understanding Your Healing Journey

Treatment & Support

Why You Cannot Sleep

Why You Cannot Sleep

Insomnia rarely arrives on its own. In practice it usually travels with one or more of the following: chronic stress from work or family, anxiety and racing thoughts at bedtime, depression or low mood, grief and loss, hormonal or life-stage changes, or a habit of poor sleep that has outlived the original cause.

The frustrating part is that worrying about sleep makes sleep harder. Many people arrive having already tried every practical tip. What is often missing is work at the subconscious level, where the anticipatory anxiety around bedtime actually lives.

How Hypnotherapy Helps With Sleep

How Hypnotherapy Helps With Sleep

Clinical hypnotherapy guides you into a deeply relaxed state where the mind becomes receptive to change. In that state it becomes possible to interrupt the association between bed and anxiety, quieten repetitive thought patterns, and rehearse falling asleep calmly. Clients frequently report physical relaxation and relief from mental clutter after even the first session.

Alongside hypnotherapy, sessions may draw on breathing and relaxation techniques, EFT tapping, guided meditation, and where appropriate Reiki or chakra balancing to calm an overstimulated nervous system.

What a Session Involves

What a Session Involves

The first session is a conversation. We look at your sleep history, what is happening in your life, what you have already tried, and what else may be contributing — anxiety, stress, grief or a difficult period. From there a plan is built around your situation rather than a fixed protocol.

Sessions are available in person at Anand Niketan in South Delhi, and online for clients elsewhere in India and abroad.

Who This Is For

Who This Is For

This work suits adults experiencing difficulty falling asleep, frequent night waking, early morning waking, unrefreshing sleep, or sleep disturbed by anxiety, overthinking, grief or life transition. It is a supportive, drug-free approach and complements rather than replaces medical care.

If your sleeplessness is sudden, severe, or accompanied by symptoms such as breathing interruptions, please also consult a medical doctor. Hypnotherapy and counselling work best alongside appropriate medical assessment.

Frequently Asked

Questions & Answers

Everything you need to know before booking your first session.

How many sessions will I need for insomnia?+

It varies with the cause. Sleeplessness driven by a recent stressful period often eases within a few sessions, while insomnia rooted in long-standing anxiety, grief or trauma takes longer. You will have a clearer sense of the likely course after the first session.

Will I be asleep or unconscious during hypnotherapy?+

No. Clinical hypnotherapy is a state of deep relaxation and focused attention. You remain aware throughout, you stay in control, and you can end the session at any point.

Can insomnia treatment be done online?+

Yes. Hypnotherapy, counselling and relaxation work translate well to video sessions, and many clients find it easier to relax in their own bedroom. Taanya works online with clients across India, Dubai, Australia, the UK and Canada.

Do I have to stop my sleep medication?+

No, and you should never change prescribed medication without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it. This work runs alongside medical treatment, and many clients find that as sleep improves they are able to discuss reducing medication with their doctor.

Is insomnia connected to anxiety and depression?+

Very often, and the relationship runs both ways. Poor sleep worsens anxiety and low mood, and anxiety and low mood worsen sleep. Treating the underlying emotional pattern is usually what breaks the cycle.
