Treatment & Support

Who This Is For
Students facing the class-ten and class-twelve stream decision, in a system that asks people to choose at fifteen and then treats the choice as permanent.
Graduates who did engineering, commerce or medicine because it was decided for them, and are now looking at a working life they did not pick.
Professionals in their thirties and forties who are competent, reasonably paid and quietly certain they are in the wrong place — the most common presentation, and the one most likely to have been carried silently for years.
People returning after a break — women re-entering after children, anyone re-entering after illness or caring for a parent — for whom the obstacle is usually confidence rather than capability.

When It Is Not Really About the Career
A large share of career dissatisfaction turns out to be something else in career clothing: burnout that a job change will not fix, because the pattern travels with you. Depression, which flattens interest in everything and makes any job feel meaningless. Anxiety about performance that has quietly reduced ambition. Or a conflict with family that has been reframed as indecision because indecision is easier to admit to.
Working this out first saves people from expensive, disruptive changes that solve nothing. It is also the reason to do this with someone trained in mental health rather than someone selling aptitude tests.

Family Expectation, and Being Honest About the Cost
In many Delhi families the career decision was never solely the individual's. Parents made real sacrifices for an education, and there is a debt attached to it, spoken or otherwise. A son who wants to leave a stable job for something uncertain, a daughter whose career is being weighed against marriage timing, a student who wants design instead of engineering — all of these are family negotiations as much as personal ones.
Nothing here will encourage you to blow up your family relationships in the name of self-actualisation. Nor will you be counselled into compliance. What the work does is separate the strands: what you actually want, what you have absorbed as your want, what your parents fear, and what each realistic option costs. Then you decide.
Sessions with a parent present are available where the disagreement is the actual issue, and are often more productive than anyone expects.

What Happens in Sessions
The work starts with history and pattern rather than tests — what has engaged you, what has drained you, what you avoid, what you are like when you are working well. Structured assessment is used where it adds something, not as the centrepiece.
From there: mapping realistic options and their genuine trade-offs, in money, time, security and family consequence; testing options in small ways before committing; and handling what is actually stopping you, which is usually fear of a specific conversation rather than a lack of information.
Where confidence is the obstacle, confidence work and hypnotherapy can be part of it — particularly for interviews and for people returning after a long gap.

Questions & Answers
Everything you need to know before booking your first session.
Do you do aptitude and psychometric testing?+
Assessment is used where it genuinely informs a decision, most often with school students. For mid-career clients, structured conversation about what has actually engaged and drained you is more informative than a test result.
Can my parents come to a session?+
Yes, and where the disagreement with family is the real obstacle, that is frequently the most useful session in the process.
Do you help with placements or job leads?+
No. This is not a recruitment service. The work is on the decision and on what is blocking it, not on finding you a vacancy.
How many sessions does this usually take?+
Three to six for a defined decision. Longer where it becomes clear that burnout, anxiety or depression is the underlying issue, in which case that is treated as what it is.
My child refuses to talk to me about their future. Can you see them alone?+
Yes. Teenagers frequently talk far more freely to someone outside the family. Sessions with the student alone, with parents separately, and jointly can all be arranged.
Where do sessions take place?+
D-96 Anand Niketan, New Delhi 110021, in South Delhi, or online across Delhi NCR. Call +91-9999344415.
