Treatment & Support

What a Reading Is For
People come to a reading when they are circling something. There is a decision they keep deferring, a situation they keep re-explaining to themselves, a feeling that something needs to change without clarity about what. The thinking has gone round enough times that another round is not going to produce anything new.
The cards are useful precisely because they are outside you. An image lands on the table that you did not choose deliberately, and it prompts a response — sometimes recognition, sometimes resistance, sometimes a memory that had nothing obvious to do with the question. All three are useful. What you say next is generally more revealing than what the card technically means.
- «A crossroads where the options are clear and the preference is not
- «A relationship you keep justifying to yourself
- «Work that has stopped fitting, without an obvious alternative
- «A sense of being stuck that resists being named
- «Wanting a considered pause at the start of a year, a move, a marriage or a new chapter
- «Grief or transition, where the need is to reflect rather than to decide

How a Session Runs
You bring a question or a situation. Vague is fine — most people arrive with something they cannot articulate cleanly, and shaping the question is often the first useful part of the hour.
Sessions usually run 45 to 60 minutes.
- «A short conversation to establish what you are actually asking about.
- «Choosing a deck appropriate to the question. Tarot tends to suit situational and practical enquiries; the oracle decks tend to suit emotional and spiritual ones.
- «Laying out a spread suited to the question rather than a fixed format.
- «Working through the cards together. This is a conversation, not a monologue — your reactions shape where the reading goes.
- «Drawing out what emerged, and what it suggests you might do differently.
- «Time at the end for questions, and a clarifying draw if something remains unresolved.

What You Will Not Be Told
This matters enough to be its own section, because there are readers who do the opposite and people get hurt by it.
Card readings are also not a substitute for therapy. If what surfaces in a reading is depression, anxiety, unresolved grief or the aftermath of something traumatic, the honest recommendation will be counselling — which is available at the same centre — rather than another reading.
- «You will not be told that something bad is coming and that you need further paid sessions to prevent it. That is a manipulation, not a reading.
- «You will not be given fixed predictions with dates attached.
- «You will not be told to leave a marriage, quit a job, cut off a family member or make any other major life decision. The decision is yours; the reading is one input.
- «You will not be given health, legal or financial advice. For those, see a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser.
- «You will not be encouraged to become dependent on regular readings. If you are booking often to feel steady, that will be named, and something more useful will be suggested.

The Decks
Different decks have different textures, and the choice is made to suit the question rather than out of habit.
- «Tarot — the traditional 78-card system, structured and detailed, well suited to situations with moving parts.
- «Divine Goddess Cards — archetypal feminine energies, often used for questions of identity, strength and self-worth.
- «Angel Cards — gentle and reassuring in tone, frequently chosen during grief or fear.
- «Fairy Cards — lighter and more playful, useful when someone has become very heavy about their own situation.
- «Lenormand — compact and notably direct, suited to practical, concrete questions.
- «Native American Medicine Cards, including Lynx energy — animal archetypes, working well for questions about instinct, timing and what is being avoided.

Readings and the Rest of the Practice
Card reading sits within the spiritual counselling side of the centre rather than apart from it. Some people come only for readings. Others find that a reading surfaces something they then want to take into counselling, inner child work or life story coaching. Both are fine, and there is no expectation that a reading leads anywhere in particular.

Questions & Answers
Everything you need to know before booking your first session.
Can you tell me my future?+
No, and anyone who says they can should be treated with caution. A reading works with the present — the patterns you are in, the choices in front of you, and what you may not be letting yourself see. Where it looks forward, it looks at likely direction if things continue as they are, not at fixed events.
Do I have to believe in it?+
No. Plenty of people come curious or frankly sceptical and get real value from the conversation. The cards work as a mirror. A mirror does not require your belief to show you something.
What if I draw a frightening card?+
The cards that alarm people — Death, the Tower — are almost never literal. Death is the standard card for the ending of a phase; the Tower is for sudden structural change. They are read in context and explained, and the reading is not conducted in a way designed to frighten you.
Can you read for someone who is not present?+
Readings are done for the person in the session, about their own situation. You can certainly ask about a relationship you are part of. Readings are not done to find out what a third party is thinking or planning without their knowledge — that is a boundary the practice keeps.
How often should I have a reading?+
Infrequently. Once or twice a year, or at genuine turning points, is plenty. Frequent readings tend to reduce clarity rather than increase it, and they can become a way of avoiding a decision rather than making one.
Are online readings the same?+
Yes. Cards are drawn and laid out on video and the conversation proceeds as it would in person. Clients across India, the UAE, the UK and Australia book readings this way.
